The workshop
behind the counter

For over seventy years, the Gisci bench has restored, repaired and reimagined fine jewellery and timepieces — with the patience and discretion of the true Roman goldsmith.

What we do

01

Restoration

Careful, reversible restoration of antique jewels — regumming, re-setting lost stones, repairing enamels and clasps, returning a piece to its full presence without erasing its age.

02

Repair

Resizing, soldering, re-tipping claws, restringing pearls, renewing worn settings — everyday care that keeps a jewel wearable for the next generation.

03

Valuation & expertise

Assessment of antique and modern pieces — identifying period, materials and stones with the eye of a house that has handled them for three generations.

04

Bespoke & remounting

Reimagining an inherited stone into something to wear again, or creating a new piece from a first sketch, entirely by hand.

By hand, unhurried

The tradition of
Via del Babuino

The street where Gisci began is the historic home of Rome’s restorers and goldsmiths. That inheritance still guides the bench: no shortcut, no outsourcing of the delicate work, only time and a steady hand.

Bring us a piece and we will tell you honestly what it needs — and what it does not.

We do not restore objects.
We keep memories wearable.
